ABOUT ZED RESISTOR
Set up in 1988 as a development of a fringe theatre company of the same name the Zed Resistor Company has always focussed rather more than the norm on performance and character development resulting in fast shooting times and the ability to stick to both budget and schedules.
Traits perhaps best illustrated by its last feature film, a production of HAMLET (dir: Alexander Fodor, www.fodor.co.uk), rehearsed over 3 weeks and shot in just 15 days, and yet still reviewed by one critic as "the most esoteric cinematic version of Hamlet I have ever seen"(Antagony & Ectasy).
The film was released in the USA in April 2008 through distributors Echelon Entertainments.
The Zed Resistor Company has made literally hundreds of film shorts, developing a unique shooting style through its offshoot company The Actor's One-stop Shop (which gives actors new to the camera a chance to prove themselves on film).
In 1996 the company was proud to welcome Christopher Lee as its honorary chairman.
